A “Razumkov Group” Appeared in the Rada, Voting Aligns with Rinat Akhmetov’s Interests

In the Verkhovna Rada, another group of deputies has formed that is likely coordinated by Speaker of the Parliament Dmytro Razumkov, and whose votes align with the interests of oligarch Rinat Akhmetov. This is stated in a new article by Bihus.Info.

Thus, for example, this group of MPs blocked a vote on a bill that would obligate industry to modernize purification systems (the companies Metinvest and DTEK of Rinat Akhmetov are among the top polluters according to the Ukrainian Ministry of Ecology). These deputies are not part of any of the already existing “oligarchic groups” that Bihus.Info has previously reported on. At the same time, deputies who have long been noted by us for defending Akhmetov’s interests and part of the “Kolomoisky group” also ignored the vote.

Analysis of votes, as well as testimony from sources in the Verkhovna Rada, indicate that this group includes Dmytro Razumkov himself, as well as the “Servant of the People” members Volodymyr Kozak, Nelly Yakovlieva, Dmytro Natalukha, Olga Sovyhirya, Oleh Tarasov, Serhiy Babak, Vasyl Mokan.

By the way, the “Razumkov group” also voted in unison with oligarchic groups against the appointment of Yuriy Vitrenko as Minister of Energy. For various reasons, this appointment is quite disadvantageous specifically for Rinat Akhmetov’s business.
