21 A member of parliament did not vote in May at all, – CVU

The Committee of Voters of Ukraine analyzed the participation indicators of members of the Verkhovna Rada in May 2021 r.

According to CVU 21 a member of parliament did not vote even once during the month, reports UAINFO.org.

Among them are Yuriy Boyko ("Opposition Platform — For Life"), Serhiy Lvovochkin (OPZJ), Anton Yatsenko ("Batkivshchyna"), Renat Kuzmin (OPZJ), Fedir Khristenko (OPZJ), Serhiy Larin (OPZJ), Illya Kiva (OPZJ).

There were officially absent and, accordingly, did not vote Oleksandr Abdullin ("Batkivshchyna"), Kostiantyn Bondariev ("Batkivshchyna"), Viktoriya Vagnier ("Servant of the People"), Yulia Grishina ("Servant of the People"), Stepan Ivakhiv ("For the Future"), Taras Kozak (OPZJ), Oleksandr Kunitsky ("Servant of the People"), Viktor Medvedchuk (OPZJ), Vadym Rabinovych (OPZJ), Yulia Svitlychnaya (out of faction), Serhiy Sobolev ("Batkivshchyna"), Yevhen Shevchenko ("Servant of the People"), Yevhen Yakovenko (out of faction).

Participation in 100% of parliamentary votes was taken by only 10 members of parliament.

In May, deputies from the parties "Servant of the People", "European Solidarity" and "Voice" voted most actively. On average, members of the "Servant of the People" participated in 85% of votes, ES and VOICE – 81%. The deputies of the Dovira group participated in 73% of votes. Deputies from other factions voted (pressed "for", "against" or "abstained") significantly less often. Members of the Batkivshchyna party took part in 54% of votes, the For the Future group – 52%, the Opposition Platform — For Life – 33%.

"Compared with the previous months, in May the number of deputies who did not vote doubled. If in February not a single time in the month did 7 deputies vote, and in March–April – 10 deputies each, then in May – 21 deputies, which is a record low in recent times. Some parliamentarians practically irresponsibly treat their deputy duties, systematically ignoring Verkhovna Rada voting," said Oleh Koshiel, head of CVU.

In total, six plenary sessions of the Verkhovna Rada were held in May, during which 266 votes were conducted. Among other things, MPs adopted the Rada’s Resolution: "Regarding the Address of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the Congress of the United States of America on intensifying efforts to strengthen energy security of Ukraine and Europe through the general introduction of sanctions against the construction of the North Stream-2 pipeline."
