Former Finance Minister Kolobov Denies Swiss Bank Accounts

Former Ukrainian Finance Minister Kolobov denied having accounts in Switzerland

Former Ukrainian Finance Minister Yuriy Kolobov has no accounts in the Swiss Confederation.

According to his press service, commenting on media reports about arrests of accounts and sanctions against former Ukrainian officials, including the former finance minister, Kommersant writes.

According to them, Kolobov told the Swiss ambassador Christian Schönwälder in a phone call that he has no accounts in Switzerland.

In turn, the ambassador stated that he cannot either confirm or deny this information; a formal reply will be issued by the embassy in the near future.

If there are no accounts of Mr. Kolobov in Switzerland, he will be offered apologies for the inconvenience caused.

As reported, by order of Swiss authorities, on February 26 assets and accounts of the following individuals located in Switzerland are to be blocked when detected on Swiss territory:
