Court opens case over Yermak's failure to submit declaration

The Kyiv District Administrative Court has opened proceedings regarding Andriy Yermak's failure to submit a declaration as a candidate for the head of the Office of the President.

This was reported by the court press service. The case was opened on a lawsuit by unaffiliated Member of Parliament Anton Polyakov against the head of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention, Oleksandr Novikov.

The plaintiff asks the court to oblige the head of the NACP to issue an order to the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, to carry out an official investigation. The deputy requests that the reasons for Yermak's failure, as a candidate for the head of the OP, to submit a declaration for the 2019 year be clarified. Among other demands in the suit is to recognize such inaction by the head of the NACP as unlawful.

The court will consider the case under the simplified claim procedure without notifying the parties and without holding a hearing, based on the materials available in the case file.
