Tkachenko resigned as CEO of «1+1 Media»

Oleksandr Tkachenko resigned from the position of general director of the «1+1 Media» group.

Tkachenko noted that strategic management of the group will be carried out by a board composed of six people, — reports Hromadske.

In particular, he said that he has already been registered as a People's Deputy of Ukraine and therefore can no longer hold the position of CEO of «1+1 Media».

At the same time, Tkachenko was granted the title of honorary president of the group, and as of 19 August the new CEO became Vyacheslav Mienko. The board includes Head of Television Business Maksym Kryvytskyi, Head of Pay TV and Shared Services Yaroslav Pakholchuk, Head of «1+1 Digital and Innovation» Anna Tkachenko, Director of the GR Department Vyacheslav Mienko, Director of the Marketing Communications Department Svitlana Paveletska, and Chief Financial Officer Dmytro Tuzov. At the first meeting on 28 August the board will elect a chairperson who will be responsible for organizing the body's work.

A change in the media holding's structure is also planned. There will be a division into business units and corporate services that will operate as independent businesses with their own goals and tasks, areas of responsibility, authorities, and management teams.

According to Tkachenko, the transformation of the management system will be fully completed in six months, by March 2020 of next year. Tkachenko also said that today he has already met with the company's staff, where he announced the new management structure. In addition, Tkachenko said he is selling his share to a “financial company,” but did not name it. He is transferring the rest of his business to a law firm for management. “Everything will be specified in the declaration,” he emphasized.
