Former Kononenko assistant appointed deputy head of State Property Fund

The Cabinet of Ministers appointed Volodymyr Derzhavin as deputy head of the State Property Fund; he previously worked as an assistant to Member of Parliament Ihor Kononenko on a voluntary basis.

This is stated in the relevant government orders adopted in January 20, UNIAN reports.

In particular, by order No. 127 Vitaliy Pilkevych was dismissed from this position. According to the document, he was dismissed due to taking up another job.

In turn, by order No. 128 the Cabinet appointed Derzhavin in his place.

According to information on the SPF website, in addition to the deputy head position, which is listed as vacant, the head of the SPF also has a first deputy, Dmytro Parfenenko, and two deputies — Andriy Haidutsky and Nataliya Lebid.

It should be noted that while serving as head of the Department for Legal Support of the Kyiv City Council’s activities, Derzhavin ran in the parliamentary elections in 2014 on the Petro Poroshenko Bloc list at No. 143.

He was a member of the previous convocation of the Kyiv City Council (2014–2015) and belonged to the UDAR-Solidarity faction.

From 2002 to 2003 he worked as a legal assistant at LLC "Ukrainian Association of Property Management," from 2003 to 2008 he was a legal counsel at LLC "Stolytsia," and since 2008 he has practiced as a private attorney.

Earlier, the media had already reported that Derzhavin, a longtime associate of Kononenko, could be appointed deputy to Bilous, but this information had not been officially confirmed.
