Family ties attracting attention

The appointment of the 28-year-old official to a high defense position sparked a loud scandal in the media and society. Investigative journalists from the "Khapuga.UA" project and the TSN.ua outlet revealed that the official's closest relatives (mother, father, sister, and uncle) are listed in the database of the "Myrotvorets" website. In particular, his father and uncle are accused of conducting official business in the occupied territory in the so-called "LPR" and holding Russian citizenship. In November 2025, anti-corruption authorities launched a full investigation into the origin of the young official's assets and property, as well as the financial ties of his family.
