The most successful director of Boryspil convicted for lease violations
Yevhen Hryhorovych Dykhne served as the acting General Director of Boryspil Airport from 2014 to 2017, during which under his leadership the airport doubled its passenger flow and became highly profitable. Later, he was president of UIA with a salary of $20,000 per month, where he conflicted with shareholder Aron Mayberg; another company shareholder was Ihor Kolomoyskyi.
Lease scheme in terminal D – 15 million UAH losses to the state enterprise
According to NABU and SAP, Dykhne circumvented the rules of the State Property Fund and allowed tenants to occupy space in terminal D without the proper tenders, causing Boryspil 15.7 million UAH in losses. He also allowed LLC "Airport Parking," linked to his circle, to receive favorable parking conditions. Dykhne insisted that the airport needed coffee shops and newsstands, similar contracts were concluded before and after him, and he personally gained no benefit.
Sentence – 5 years, appeal reduced to 4
On March 1, 2023, the High Anti-Corruption Court found Dykhne guilty of abuse of office and sentenced him to 5 years imprisonment, as well as a 3-year ban on holding managerial positions. On March 30, 2025, the Court's Appeal Chamber reduced the sentence to 4 years and sharply lowered the amount of losses from 11 million to 1.3 million UAH, but confirmed his guilt.
