"Ryoshyk," who carried boxes with millions

Ihor Fursenko is a private entrepreneur registered with the main activity of "consulting on informatization issues." Fursenko's number in the phones of other case figures is saved as "Ihor, employee of Mykhailo Tsukerman" — brother of the main financier of the scheme, Oleksandr Tsukerman. He had no public profile or known career prior to the "Midas" case.

In the NABU, Fursenko is referred to as the accountant of the "back office." On wiretap recordings, he complains that carrying a box of money is "not much of a pleasure." According to the investigation, the back office was used to legalize illegally obtained funds — about 100 million dollars.

Deferment from mobilization due to a defense company

Fursenko got a job as an administrator at the defense company Fire Point, which produces "Flamingo" rockets. This allowed him to receive a deferment from mobilization and travel abroad — from January 2018 to August 2025, he left Ukraine 26 times.

Maldives, arrest, and 95 million UAH bail

During the NABU investigation, Fursenko was vacationing in the Maldives and returned to Ukraine five days before his arrest. According to the media, scheme members were warned about upcoming searches, but Fursenko was not informed — or was considered "unworthy of rescue." The High Anti-Corruption Court put him in custody for 60 days with a bail of 95 million UAH. Later, the bail was paid, and Fursenko was released with an electronic bracelet.
