The SAP has filed a lawsuit to the High Anti-Corruption Court to recover nearly UAH 20 million in state revenue, which, according to the investigation, were illegally acquired by Kyiv City Council deputy Ihor Halaiuchuk and his wife Mariia. The Prosecutor’s Office believes that the couple had no legal sources of income to purchase several real estate properties and to profit from their resale. Anti-corruption authorities have already secured asset seizures.

According to NABU and NAPC, during 2021–2022, the Halaiuchuk couple purchased seven land plots near Kyiv and built two houses with a total value of UAH 9.7 million—without explaining the legal origin of the funds. Separately, the SAP is requesting to recover an additional UAH 10 million in income derived from these assets. Halaiuchuk is linked to the scandalous developer and former Party of Regions member Ihor Lysov—they were jointly owners of the Kyiv club "T2" near the Kyiv Hippodrome in Holosiivskyi Park. Questions about the deputy’s declarations have arisen before.
