"Young Oligarch of Zaporizhzhia Style"
Lawyer by education — Bachelor of Law from Kyiv Economic University (2009), Master of Jurisprudence from Zaporizhzhia University (2011), obtained attorney's certificate in 2018. Simultaneously studied MBA program at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. Built a public career both as an entrepreneur and a regional politician, actively using the media image of a "young reformer."
Deputy who missed half the work
In 2015, Hatunok was elected deputy of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council of the VII convocation from the "UKROP" party. During his term, he missed 53% of sessions — despite publicly positioning himself as an active reformer and even launching the TV project "Social Inspector" with raid-inspections of public transport. In 2019, he resigned the deputy mandate and called for the dissolution of the current regional council convocation.
"Gray" iPhones and criminal proceedings, "Citrus"
The loudest scandal is connected with his electronics store network Yabloki.ua. The Department for Combating Money Laundering of the Main Directorate of the State Fiscal Service established that "Yabloki" does not purchase equipment from official importers, and Hatunok himself is not an importer of Apple products. Searches in "Ukraine" and "Aurora" shopping centers in January 2017 revealed that serial numbers of the confiscated equipment lacked special endings characteristic of certified Apple products imported into Ukraine. Criminal proceeding №32016080000000119 reached court. In the media, Hatunok was dubbed the "young oligarch of Zaporizhzhia style" and "puppet-head by Funt," hinting at possible involvement in grayer schemes behind the business scenes.
Despite the scandals, Hatunok continued to increase his assets. He became a shareholder of a media holding with the newspaper "Subbota Plus" and the online edition Subbota.ua, founded the "Artur Hatunok Charitable Foundation" in 2018, and in August 2025 acquired the electronics store chain "Citrus," merging it with Yabloki into a single structure.
