VAC's verdict — and case closure; he threw case materials out of the car window

During the delivery of the indictment in February 2023, Herasymov rejected the documents, then threw the case materials out of the car window and left. On August 17, 2023, the High Anti-Corruption Court found him guilty of false declaration — a fine of UAH 51,000 and a one-year ban on holding positions; at the same time, he was exempted from punishment due to statute of limitations. In November 2023, the VAC Appeal Chamber overturned the verdict and closed the proceedings definitively — also due to the statute of limitations. Herasymov explained the non-declaration by saying that between 2011 and 2013 he transferred all assets to his parents "due to risks"; the gift agreement was allegedly concluded under English law without a notary, and he "lost" his copy.
