State contractor with three suspicions and a son wanted

Ihor Hrynkevych is a Lviv-based entrepreneur and developer whose companies have received state contracts for years. He began his career as a tax inspector and tax police officer in Lviv in the late 1990s before moving into the construction business. Hrynkevych is not an official of Ukrenergo, but his company LLC "Vizin Rich" ended up at the center of a tender scheme with the state energy system operator.

Fake tender for a "fence" worth 13 million

In 2018, Hrynkevych's company won a Ukrenergo tender for the reconstruction of substation fences. The parties signed an agreement for 68 million UAH, the state company transferred an advance of 13.7 million UAH—work was never carried out, and the funds, according to the investigation, were withdrawn and shared among scheme participants. In October 2025, the State Bureau of Investigations (DBR) detained former Ukrenergo head Kudrytskyi, and Hrynkevych, who was already in pre-trial detention, was charged again—with organizing fraud, forging documents, and money laundering.

One billion on army clothing

Hrynkevych's companies concluded contracts with the Ministry of Defense to supply military clothing worth over 1.8 billion UAH. The delivered product turned out to be unsuitable for its intended purpose. In December 2023, he was detained for attempting to bribe the head of the DBR with 500 thousand dollars. Bail in the case exceeds 420 million UAH. He remains in pre-trial detention and denies guilt.
