13 offshore companies, green tariff, and voting for "dictatorial laws"
Stepan Ivakhiv is a People's Deputy of the VII, VIII, and IX convocations from Volyn Oblast, and by wealth in 2019 was one of the richest deputies ($93 million). He started his career in the Party of Regions, and in 2010 was elected a deputy of the Volyn Regional Council on its list. On January 16, 2014, he voted for the "dictatorial laws" that restricted freedom and the Constitution. In 2018, he declared 13 offshore companies. Ivakhiv's entities received income from the green tariff for renewable energy. Since 2023, he has stopped attending Verkhovna Rada sessions.
68 land plots, 29 vehicles, and fleeing to Poland — in 2026
In declarations for 2022 and 2023, Ivakhiv did not disclose property worth more than UAH 31.8 million: 68 land plots, 4 residential houses, 29 vehicles, gas station complexes, and a pig farming complex building. Additionally, the investigation found that in 2022 alone he acquired assets worth nearly UAH 42 million — 47 plots, a house, and three business-class cars. The value of acquired property exceeded legal income by UAH 36 million. Some land plots were registered through nominees. When searches were conducted, Ivakhiv tried to leave for Poland and was detained. He has been notified of suspicion of illegal enrichment and false declaration — punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment.
