People's Deputy of the IX convocation from the pro-Russian OPZZh, member of Medvedchuk's orbit

On the website of Medvedchuk's movement "Ukrainian Choice — The Right of the People," Koltunovych was called the "head of economic programs." His publication "Ukraine: The Economy of Failure" was published by the foundation with the telling name "Unity in the Name of Russia," led by a State Duma United Russia deputy. In March 2020, he was part of the OPZZh delegation that traveled to Moscow for a meeting with State Duma deputies. After these trips, People's Deputy from the "Holos" party Solomiya Bobrovska compelled the Office of the Prosecutor General to initiate a state treason case against OPZZh deputies who traveled to Putin.

Suspicion by NABU and ties to the banned party

NABU detectives, with the approval of SAP prosecutors, notified Koltunovych of suspicion of submitting false information in his declaration. The Anti-Corruption Court denied his appeal against the declared suspicion. The NAPC recorded that he had a personal interest in the consideration of several issues in parliament. After the start of the full-scale invasion, the activities of OPZZh were banned; however, Koltunovych will not bear responsibility for his pro-Russian ties.
