Minister of Infrastructure from Avakov

The media consider Kryklii to be a protégé of Arsen Avakov: it was the Minister of Internal Affairs who appointed him to a high position in the department in 2015 without proper experience or relevant education. From 2014 to 2015, he served as an advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs, then as deputy head of the Traffic Police (involved in its liquidation). From November 2015 to August 2019, he was the head of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Apartment below market price and a wife not declared

In 2015, while director of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, he purchased a four-room 120 sq. m apartment in the center of Kyiv for 768 thousand UAH — below market price. At the time, in 2014, he had no income, and in 2015 earned only 156 thousand UAH. In 2020, it was revealed that the minister lived in an apartment registered to his common-law wife and drove a car gifted to her — both assets absent from his declaration.

Deputy "through the bed" and Lyovochkina's partner

In November 2019, an audio recording appeared allegedly showing that deputy minister Oleksandra Klitina got her position "through the bed." In March 2021, Artemii Yershov became Kryklii's deputy — a business partner of Yuliia Lyovochkina, sister of MP from the pro-Russian OPZZh party Serhii Lyovochkin.

On May 18, 2021, the Verkhovna Rada voted for Kryklii's resignation — 284 votes in favor.
