Miroshnychenko Yuriy Romanovych

Representative of President Yanukovych in the Parliament (2010–2014)

Born in Leningrad Oblast, lawyer, Doctor of Law, professor. Member of Parliament of the V–VIII convocations from the Party of Regions and Opposition Bloc. From March 2010 to February 2014 — representative of President Yanukovych in the Verkhovna Rada. On January 16, 2014, voted for the "dictatorship laws" — a package that significantly restricted citizens' rights and freedom of speech. After the shootings on Maidan, publicly cried on the TSN broadcast, asking Ukrainians for forgiveness. However, when the General Prosecutor's Office opened a criminal case related to the Maidan assault on February 19, 2014, and summoned him for questioning seven times — he did not appear even once.

From “regional” to member of the Central Election Commission — under Russian sanctions but without conviction

On April 8, 2014, he left the Party of Regions, in 2014 was elected MP from the Opposition Bloc, in 2019 — appointed member of the Central Election Commission by the Verkhovna Rada resolution. Since 2018 has been under Russian sanctions for a pro-Ukrainian position. There are no criminal convictions or suspicions from NABU/DBR regarding Miroshnychenko in public sources; the Maidan case did not lead to charges personally against him.
