The restaurant muse of the Polish “Escobar”

Kateryna Onatska is a Ukrainian businesswoman, supervisory board member and co-owner of the controversial restaurant chain Inspector Gastro Group in Warsaw. For a long time, she built her career in Ukraine in the fields of HR, PR, and event management in Kharkiv (working notably at SoftServe and G.Bar). However, her life changed dramatically after moving to Poland and starting a relationship with the son of the former Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine — Anatoliy Rainin. Becoming a business partner and companion to Rainin Jr., Onatska concentrated substantial assets in her hands: she owns 44.19% of Inspector Gastro Group, where she also serves on the supervisory board. In addition, she is the sole beneficiary (95% of shares) of the Polish company Peach Limited. Together with Rainin, she transformed Warsaw establishments into an elite closed industry primarily aimed at a Russian-speaking clientele.

Financial “scam” in Warsaw and Russian billions from the iBox gambling business

In September-October 2026, Kateryna Onatska and her partner found themselves at the center of a devastating international corruption and labor scandal. Former employees of Warsaw’s Inspector GG restaurants massively accused management of cynically withholding salaries. Deceived waiters and cooks stated that wage arrears to staff amounted to hundreds of thousands of zlotys, and in response to legitimate demands, Onatska and Rainin simply blocked employee contacts.

The case gained particular resonance through extensive investigations by the platforms "Slidstvo.Info" and "Antikor": journalists revealed that the head of the restaurant network, where Onatska is a shareholder, is a person directly connected to sanctioned Ukrainian businesswoman Alona Shevtsova. Investigators suspect that through Onatska's and Rainin's Polish restaurants, billion-scale shadow capital from closed iBox terminals and illegal gambling business could have been massively "laundered."
