The Head of the Non-Performing Assets Management Department of the National Bank (since 2019, returned in 2023), a banker with 18 years of experience. Reports to the Deputy Governor of the NBU, and consequently to Andriy Pyshnyi himself. By his position, he handles other people's "toxic" assets — yet there are many questions regarding his own declarations.

Drunken fight with a serviceman, a "decorative" pistol — and a house with zero declared income

In September 2024, Polyarush, intoxicated, fought with a serviceman in a parking lot and threatened him with a ceremonial firearm. The criminal case for death threat was quickly "closed," leaving only a protocol for drunk driving. The BlackBox OSINT investigation revealed even more interesting details: despite declaring zero income for 2022, the official acquired a 138 m² house near Brovary (in the name of his partner's daughter), a Lexus, $69,000 in "unknown origin" savings, and a hidden business initially registered under his 70-year-old mother. Journalists directly suggest backing from the head of the NBU. The one who was supposed to clean the banks is not very clean himself.
