Former Defense Minister under NABU searches for "eggs at 17 UAH" and non-winter jackets

Born on June 18, 1966, in Lviv. Lawyer, founder of Magisters (formerly “Pravis”), two-time winner of the Chambers Europe Awards ranking. From April 2016 to September 2018 — Deputy Head of Kyiv City State Administration under Klitschko. Since November 2021 — Minister of Defense. In 2023, media revealed that the Ministry of Defense purchased eggs at 17 UAH per piece at a retail price of 7 UAH, as well as summer jackets disguised as winter ones — with a triple price increase during delivery. Reznikov initially denied, then admitted excessive emotionality and promised to investigate. Deputy Minister Shapovalov resigned. Following scandals in September 2023, the Verkhovna Rada voted for Reznikov's resignation.

NABU searches without suspicion, "broken invoice scheme," and open proceeding

On July 3, 2025, NABU conducted searches at Reznikov's premises without issuing suspicion; Vitalii Shabunin suggested involvement of a broken invoice scheme through a shell company. As of April 2025, NABU notified suspicion to five persons in the case of procurement of products for the Armed Forces, but Reznikov is neither a suspect nor a witness; pre-trial investigation continues. Currently — Director of Security and Defense Programs at the Institute for the Future.
