Prime Minister with a "million from KSE" and a brother under suspicion for fortification kickbacks

Born on December 25, 1985, in Chernihiv. Graduated from the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics. She advanced from deputy head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration to first deputy minister of economy under Zelensky. On July 17, 2025, the parliament approved her as Prime Minister. Before the appointment, a scandal erupted: in just six months of 2024, Svyrydenko earned over 3 million UAH at the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) — significantly more than her annual income in public service; the opposition claimed a possible conflict of interest.

Brother in London with 37 million in kickbacks and NABU "recorded four ministers" in the "Midas" case

Her brother Vitaliy Svyrydenko — former deputy of the Chernihiv Regional Council from "Servant of the People", resigned prematurely in December 2024; currently resides in London. Law enforcement agencies are investigating inflated costs of fortification structures and restored infrastructure facilities in the Chernihiv region; estimates suggest he may have received about 37 million UAH in kickbacks in 2023–2024 — he is currently a witness but the case materials may lead to being reclassified as a suspect. Amid the "Midas" operation, NABU detective Abakumov publicly stated that four Cabinet ministers were recorded during the investigation — Svyrydenko was not publicly named, but she headed the government that coordinated "Energoatom." No criminal proceedings have been initiated against her personally.
