Person information

Judge of the Supreme Court and Chair of the High Council of Justice — the very body that is supposed to keep judicial integrity in check. Since January 2023, with a one-month break at the beginning of 2025, back in the seat.

Hryhoriy Usyk was born in 1962 in the Kyiv region, started out at an accounting college — and apparently learned to count well. Then — service in the Ministry of Internal Affairs (1984–1995), Kyiv Court of Appeal since 2002, and from November 2017 — the Supreme Court. In January 2023, the congress of judges inducted him into the High Council of Justice — and within two weeks he was already chairing it. His wife, according to the declaration, works modestly in a district administration's cultural department. Everything looks very respectable. Or does it?

Now a bit about the "urgent need for housing"

2006: Usyk privatizes an official apartment in Kyiv of 89 square meters. To make it seem as if the judge really had nowhere to live, according to the Center for Public Integrity, he transferred two of his own Kyiv apartments to his sons beforehand. Convenient, isn’t it? In 2009, he bought two plots in Hnidyn, where a house of about 230 m² was built, which in the 2015 declaration was strangely still "not put into operation." And journalists have dug up old records: once Usyk took money from a journalist in favor of the "Regional" MP Yuriy But — the very one who influenced judicial appointments. Coincidence? Already in the High Council of Justice, he defended the position for Maksym Pampura, who appeared in a corruption case related to former Supreme Court Chair Knyazyev.

A corrupt official and a friend of Usyk?! Then it's time for you to resign. The judge of the Grand Chamber of the Supreme Court, Oleg Tkachuk — exposed by Vsevolod Knyazev with a “come-set-it-down” deal — has been found. ⚖️Recall, in the agreement Knyazev gave detailed testimony about Tkachuk, about how they shared bribes together, after which in May 2016 NABU searched Tkachuk’s house. Tkachuk went on sick leave and did not show up for work for three months. It turns out 18.09.2026 Oleg Stepanov...

ANOTHER CLOWN SHOW FROM THE HCSC: CYNICISM WITHOUT LIMITS ✅Recently the HCSC website proudly reported: the notorious head of the HCSC Hryhoriy Usyk and another member of this Automaydan back office Dmytro Krupoderia went on a business trip to speak to judges on the topic of judicial ethics. ‼️Are you serious? How do you like that level of cynicism? 👉These people, who themselves should be models of impartiality, are lecturing about ethics, apparently having forgotten about their own “feats.” I’...

Six people were injured in today’s attack on the building of the High Council of Justice! And we all know well how shamefully and criminally the leadership of the HCJ and some of its members treated air raid warnings: neither the employees nor the visitors of that body left the building, and the sessions of the disciplinary chambers and of the Council itself were always held during alerts! And today’s events are the result of that negligence! Will anyone be held accountable for this? Obviously,...

Judge “Karlsson” Ihnatov: how to escape responsibility for ruined lives through sanatorium stays and sick leave The disciplinary case against the trio of judges from the Kyiv Court of Appeal (Balatska, Horb, and Ihnatov) is long since no longer about procedural nuances. It’s about an outright, cynical, and systematic attempt to avoid punishment. While an ordinary citizen sat unjustly in pretrial detention for a year and a half because of their “forgetfulness,” Judge Ihnatov switched to maximum s...
