Former Deputy Head of the police 'Economic Protection' unit, whom journalists found in Monaco — and who was added to the SBI list
A law enforcement officer who made a rapid career in the system fighting economic crimes: First Deputy Head of the Economic Protection Department of the National Police (EPD) — the very same department founded and headed by Ihor Kupranets and which Avakov liquidated in 2019 due to corruption scandals and inefficiency. According to media accounts, his career was aided by a close uncle — Lieutenant General of Militsiya Leonid Skalozub, head of the Department for Combating Economic Crimes (DDSBEZ) from 2007 to 2010, who after retirement became Deputy Chairman of the Board for Security at Akhmetov's PUMB Bank; thanks to this 'patronage,' Vyazmikin allegedly took a leadership position at age 29. He is registered as a beneficiary of the venture fund "Fart Capital" and the company "Ossoyo."

He became involved in a high-profile investigation by Mykhailo Tkach ("Ukrainska Pravda," August 2022) into Ukrainian VIP refugees on the French Riviera. Following the publication, the SBI on August 17, 2022, opened proceedings into illegal border crossing; among the 84 persons under investigation were Vyazmikin and his wife Oksana. He was noted for involvement in VAT fraud schemes, fictitious companies, and illegal construction, and attempts were also made to remove mentions of himself from search results.
