Brigadier General and former Head of Cybersecurity of the SBU
Illia Vitiuk is a cyber reconnaissance officer with 20 years of experience in the SBU, who began service in 2004 and progressed from operative to leadership positions in the central apparatus. From November 2021 to May 2024, he served as the Head of the Cybersecurity Department of the SBU. At the start of the full-scale invasion, Vitiuk's department repelled over 10,000 cyberattacks. In March 2024, he was awarded the rank of Brigadier General. However, on May 1, 2024, he was dismissed amid a real estate scandal.
25.5 million UAH of family real estate with a salary of 700 thousand — and the declaration disappeared on the day of the investigation
In March 2024, "Slidstvo.Info" published an investigation into Vitiuk's family property. On the same day, his declaration disappeared from the NACP website. Vitiuk's salary in 2021 was just over 700 thousand UAH, with no declared income for his wife. Vitiuk's family owns real estate valued at over 25.5 million UAH at market prices.
21.6 million for wife's apartment — contract at 12.8 million and a sole proprietorship without real services
In December 2023, Vitiuk purchased an apartment for 21.6 million UAH and registered it to a family member. The contract stated an understated price of 12.8 million UAH. To justify the source of funds, the family member claimed income from legal and consulting services as an individual entrepreneur. Vitiuk's wife, Yulia, declared income as an individual entrepreneur: 9.4 million UAH in 2022 and 13.4 million UAH in 2023.
Filmed the shootings on Maidan from the "Berkut" side
"Slidstvo.Info" established that SBU General Vitiuk filmed the shootings on Maidan from the "Berkut" side as an operative of the service. This information was confirmed by the Office of the Prosecutor General and former head of the Maidan Crimes Investigation Department, Horbatiuk. The video was later removed from the internet.
