Lieutenant General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, former MP from European Solidarity

Hero of Ukraine (2014), Lieutenant General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Commander of the Air Assault Forces (2017–2019), Commander of ATO Forces (2017–2018). MP of the IX convocation from European Solidarity. In March 2023, he resigned his mandate and returned to military service. Graduated from the Military Space Academy in Saint Petersburg and served under contract in the Russian Federation from 1994 to 1999. In July 2020, he publicly accused the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) of unlawfully seizing elements of the air defense system, which led to the temporary shutdown of air defense; President Zelensky instructed the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the SBI to assess the investigators' actions.

Criminal proceeding regarding the declaration — closed due to statute of limitations

The National Agency for Corruption Prevention (NACP) established that since March 2020 Zabrodskyi rented a garden house of 166 sq.m. in the village of Hnidyn, Kyiv region, and did not declare it; he confirmed the fact with a contract but explained it as temporary residence. The Prosecutor General initiated a criminal proceeding; in March 2023 the High Anti-Corruption Court closed the case — the two-year statute of limitations expired on March 6, 2023, while the next hearing was scheduled for March 13.
