Zahoriy was born on August 21, 1976, in Vologda, Russia. His parents are pharmacists; his father, Volodymyr Zahoriy, is the chairman of the supervisory board of Darnytsia, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, with 95 patents. Hlib Zahoriy is a member of the 8th convocation of the Verkhovna Rada from BPP, and was CEO of Darnytsia from 2009 to 2014.
