One of the wealthiest Rada deputies — accused of hiding 289 million UAH in income
The Fiscal Service of Ukraine accused Derevyanko of understating his annual income for 2015 by 289 million UAH, resulting in the state losing 62 million UAH in taxes. Meanwhile, in the 2017 declaration, he and his wife declared only 574 thousand UAH of income — despite Derevyanko being among the top two wealthiest parliamentarians with assets exceeding 81 million UAH.
Notarial scheme, interference with the Ministry of Justice, and break with all parties
Derevyanko's companies, including "Informational Center," collected money from notaries across the country as part of a scheme interfering with the Ministry of Justice’s operations. Former party colleague Yehor Soboliev publicly accused Derevyanko of dishonest enrichment schemes. His colleagues from the "People's Front" called on the Prosecutor General's Office and NABU to open a criminal case against the leader of "Volia" due to the activities of his companies. During his time in the Rada, Derevyanko managed to be a "pushover," quarrel with the "People's Front," "Samopomich," and Saakashvili — changing several factions and ultimately becoming non-affiliated.
