Which MPs most often ignore votes that align with their pre-election program

The Bihus.Info editorial team analyzed how members of parliament from six parliamentary factions supported the “program laws” during four years of the current parliament’s work. For each faction, more than 40 bills were individually selected, the provisions of which coincide with the pre-election obligations of the respective parliamentary political force.

The Opposition Bloc leads in the number of deputies who systematically ignore votes on laws that align with their pre-election program. 80-97% of such votes were missed by Serhiy Lvovochkin, Yukhym Zvyagilsky, Yevhen Bakulin, Vadym Rabinovych, Serhiy Larin, Yulia Lvovochkina, Dmytro Bobkin, Nataliya Korolevska, Denys Omelyanovych, Yuriy Solod.

The absolute leader in ignoring laws that align with the pre-election program of the UDAR party is MP Vitalii Chepynoga. Former press secretary to Yulia Tymoshenko, he moved to the current parliament from the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko. The politician missed or did not support 93% of votes on the presidential party’s program promises.

In addition, more than 60% of key votes by UDAR representatives were ignored: agro-businessmen Vadym Nesterenko and Vadym Kryvokhatko, founder of the Internet Party of Ukraine Dmytro Holubov, lawyer Nataliya Agafonova, sister of a military prosecutor – writer Maria Matios.

In the “People’s Front,” the trio leading in the rate of ignored “program bills” looks like this: entrepreneur-manufacturer of batteries Denys Dzenzersky, author of the bill on reducing the items of declaration Tatiana Donets, and the person under investigation in an NABU case Yevhen Deidey. They missed or did not support more than half of the People’s Front’s key votes.

None of the Radicals who, at the time of the study, were members of parliament ignored more than half of the “program bills.” However, 40-43% of such votes were missed by Andriy Lozovyi, Ihor Mosiychuk, and Oksana Korchynska. Additionally, the radical MP Andriy Artemenko exited the parliament following a scandal over Canadian citizenship and loss of Ukrainian citizenship.

More than 40% of votes on laws that align with the program of Batkivshchyna were ignored by MPs Volodymyr Bukhariev, Serhiy Vlasenko, Ihor Lutsenko. They were surpassed only by MP Nadiya Savchenko, particularly due to her arrest on high-profile accusations of preparing a terror act in the Verkhovna Rada.

In the Samopomich faction, the fewest MPs systematically not voting for pre-election promises. More than half of the faction’s key votes were ignored only by MP Semen Semenchenko.
