“Gifts from a relative”

According to an investigation by Bihus.Info, within one year Agafonova acquired two Kyiv apartments (162 and 70 m²), plus a dacha of 72.8 m² near Kyiv on her own 502 square meters of land. Despite expenditures of 2.3 million UAH, the family’s savings did not decrease: according to her declaration, the entire amount was received as a “gift” from Lyudmyla Agafonova — a wealthy relative, who, for some reason, was not mentioned in the same declaration. Convenient, isn’t it? Also, in 2017, the National Agency on Corruption Prevention included her in the list of 20 officials for full declaration checks.
