“Mykyta—Italian vans” — will he become head of the State Tax Service?

Rumor has it that the State Tax Service may get a new leader soon. At the moment it is “managed” by Tetyana Kyriienko, who is Hetmantsev’s protégé. Replacing her could be the current head of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration, Viktor Mykyta.

“It is deeply symbolic that on the International Anti-Corruption Day the surname of the new head of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration was announced — it was Deputy Head of the ‘K’ Main Directorate of the SBU Viktor Fedorovych Mykyta. The ‘K’ directorate is the very unit of the Security Service of Ukraine that organizes smuggling flows and shakes down businesspeople. During Yanukovych’s criminal regime, Mykyta was deputy head of the main ‘K’ department of the SBU Directorate in Zakarpattia region, where he set up all the smuggling schemes, earning him the nickname “Mykyta—Italian vans” among colleagues (meaning not necklaces but minibuses). In that role Mykyta attracted the attention of the new honest authorities, and the former deputy head of the ‘K’ Main Directorate Vasyl Pisnyi (by the way — the curator of the well-known freedom fighter for the Ukrainian people Sternenko) transferred Mykyta to Zaporizhzhia as head of the main ‘K’ department of the regional SBU office.

After the victory of an even more honest and incorruptible government, Mykyta took the post of deputy head of the SBU Directorate in Zaporizhia region, where he was noticed by the head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration Serhii Haidai. Haidai recommended Mykyta to the head of state Andrii Yermak; Yermak transferred Viktor Fedorovych to the Central Directorate as deputy head of the ‘K’ Main Directorate and entrusted him with organizing amber smuggling. But a scandal occurred: Mykyta did not agree with all interested parties, and when a shipment crossed the border, a party of 1 ton of semi-precious stones was intercepted.

Nevertheless, the head of state appreciated Viktor Fedorovych’s operational resourcefulness and now entrusted him with a sector of work that the former head of the SBU Counterintelligence Department Oleksii Petrov could not handle. And that’s understandable: you can trust counterintelligence agents maybe to plant an explosive under a journalist’s car, but they are incapable of organizing a proper smuggling scheme.”

However, a candidate who is acceptable to the “green” authorities, with a ton of kompromat on his back — will be promoted.

As Don Quixote writes: “If Viktor Mykyta is appointed head of the Tax Service, his deputies could be Ivancho (a former tax official) and Shynkariuk (a former SBU officer).

Also the head of Zakarpattia’s tax service — Petrychenko, a person close to Shynkariuk, may stake a claim on a Kyiv registration.”},{
