Person information

Former Head of Zakarpattia Regional State Administration and Deputy Head of the Office of the President nicknamed "Mykyta-Italian Vans"

In 2003, Mykyta Victor Fedorovych began service in the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). From 2015 to 2018, he headed the SBU Zakarpattia special unit combating organized crime. On December 10, 2021, by Presidential Decree, he was appointed Head of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration; from February 2023 — Head of the Regional Military Administration. Since September 8, 2024 — Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, responsible for regional policy. The nickname "Mykyta-Italian Vans" was earned during his work in the "K" department of the SBU Zakarpattia, which was tasked with fighting smuggling.

Hungarian passports of the family, an order from Szijjártó, and an advisor with a Russian passport

At customs, Mykyta did not fight smuggling but "taxed" minibuses — until 2012, when Slovak police discovered a smuggling tunnel from Uzhhorod to Slovakia. Known schemes include exporting counterfeit cigarettes to the EU and importing "gray" Apple equipment without customs duties. According to media, Hungarian passports are held by his wife Viktoria (an ethnic Hungarian), daughter Anastasia, wife's brother Oleksandr Benedyk, and former wife Lyudmyla. Mykyta himself was awarded an order by the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Péter Szijjártó — an anti-Ukrainian official who publicly supports Russia. Mykyta's advisor is Pavlo Kotyk, who holds a Russian passport and Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) from the Russian Federation; before the full-scale invasion, he published photos at Red Square and maintained ties with the group of companies "Russian Guard".
