Longtime Chairman of the Board of PUMB — Akhmetov’s "Donbas" bank that survived after 2014

A banker from Donetsk (born 1973), graduate of Donetsk State Technical University. Entire career spent at First Ukrainian International Bank: since 1997, progressed from risk assessment management specialist to board member (2005), Chief Financial Officer (CFO, 2012), and Chairman of the Board (from October 2012). PUMB belongs to the SCM financial and industrial group of Rinat Akhmetov — the country's largest oligarch.

Donbas 2014 and resilience

Led the bank through the 2014–2016 crisis: after the war began, PUMB lost a significant part of its business in occupied Donbas, relocated assets to other regions, acknowledged overdue loans in the ATO zone up to 35%. In 2014–2015, conducted a merger with Renaissance Credit. Despite this, the bank endured and became one of the largest private banks: in 2024, it posted a net profit of UAH 3.94 billion with approximately 1.5 million clients.
