Four-time People's Deputy from various parties — vote manipulator, absentee
Anatoliy Hirshfeld is a classic representative of the Kharkiv business-political elite, which skillfully moved from one party to another depending on the political climate. He graduated from the Kharkiv Institute of Radioelectronics, after which he worked as an engineer and research associate at several research institutes. He began his entrepreneurial career in the 1990s, focusing on industrial business in Kharkiv region.
People's Deputy of the IV, V, VI, VII, and VIII convocations. In 2006, he ran on the People's Bloc of Lytvyn list at number 24. In the 2012 elections, he won in constituency №179 representing the Party of Regions. In 2014, as an independent candidate from the same constituency, he became a member of the "People's Will" group. In 2019, he again ran in constituency №179 as a non-partisan independent. Hirshfeld voted for the "dictatorship laws" on January 16, 2014.
Tender conspiracy and declaration of one of the richest People's Deputies
Hirshfeld is featured in anti-corruption investigations regarding tender manipulations: his companies participated in tenders of "Ukrzaliznytsiapostach" — competing against each other. Media characterize Hirshfeld as one of the wealthiest people in the country. He was part of interparliamentary groups for relations with Israel, Turkey, and Austria.
