Patriarch of the Banking Sector: 38 Years of Experience and Unchanged Leadership at Crystalbank

Leonid Andriyovych Hrebinsky was born on May 14, 1965. He graduated from the Kyiv Institute of National Economy with a specialty in "Finance and Credit" and has dedicated nearly four decades to banking. He began his career in 1992, advancing from head of a regional branch of Inko-Bank to chairman of the board at MT-Bank and Industrialbank. His main lifelong project became JSC Crystalbank, where Hrebinsky serves not only as Chairman of the Board but also as a co-owner alongside his wife Oksana (their family owns 50% of the bank's shares). Under his management, the institution grew into a notable market player, earning in 2026 the award from the Association of Ukrainian Banks in the category "Banking Support for Business."

Accusations of Laundering Shadow Millions and Links to Cross-Border Schemes

Despite official awards and a reputation as a conservative financier, Leonid Hrebinsky and his bank regularly become central in corruption investigations. Investigative journalists uncovered a large-scale Swiss capital outflow channel from Ukraine, where Crystalbank serves as a main financial hub. According to materials, Hrebinsky's bank serviced questionable accounts and USDT operations for the group of Dmytro Ryvkin, Anton Skorobogatov, and their Polish company KOOPERANT EUROPEJSKI, assisting in transferring millions to the Swiss fund Done Switzerland AG. Furthermore, databases list Hrebinsky as the founder of LANK LLC, engaged in wholesale trade of fuel and gas, leading media to accuse the banker of behind-the-scenes involvement in oil and gas schemes. Official suspicions from the National Bank of Ukraine or the National Anti-Corruption Bureau have not yet been filed against Hrebinsky himself, but financial analysts classify his entities as having elevated tax and operational risks.
