UAH moved out of Ukraine and converted into Swiss-bound funds: how Done Rivkina and Skorobogatova handle import payment processing via Crystalbank
JSC "KRYSTALBANK" is a Ukrainian commercial bank
The financial "child" of an elite political clan: former officials built their own closed bank
JSC "KRYSTALBANK" is a Ukrainian commercial bank established in December 2014. It was founded based on the assets of the bankrupt "Terra Bank" by Marina Lening and Oksana Hrebinska, who equally split 100% of the bank's shares. Behind the bank stand their influential husbands: the permanent Chairman of the Supervisory Board, former Head of the State Tax Service and former Deputy Minister of Finance Vadym Kopylov, as well as the Chairman of the Board and banker with 38 years of experience Leonid Hrebinsky. For a long time, the bank positioned itself as a reliable partner for small and medium businesses, maintaining a network of several dozen branches across Ukraine and even receiving industry awards from the Ukrainian Banks Association for supporting entrepreneurship.
Swiss transit, millions in USDT, and NBU claims amid 43 million losses
In 2026, "Krystalbank" found itself at the center of a high-profile international corruption scandal connected to money laundering. Investigative journalists exposed that the bank became the main financial hub in a scheme run by Dmytro Ryvkin and Anton Skorobogatov for cross-border capital outflow from Ukraine to Switzerland. Through the institution, where the financial monitoring department is headed by Yevhen Sydoruk, who is not approved by the NBU, millions of flows from related companies (notably the Polish KOOPERANT EUROPEJSKI and the Ukrainian "Supply Chain Finance," "Globynex") were processed. The money was converted into foreign currency and withdrawn to the accounts of the company Done Switzerland AG, converting over 1.52 million dollars into the USDT cryptocurrency. In addition to crypto schemes and "VAT roll-ups," the bank faced a deep internal crisis: the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) regularly imposes strict sanctions on it for failed compliance, and financial statements recorded net losses of over 43 million hryvnias due to abnormally high operating expenses exceeding income.
