Husband was a suspect in the case of 44 hectares of stolen land
Chairwoman of the Kyiv Regional Council of the 8th convocation from April 27, 2021 to May 8, 2023. Deputy of the Kyiv Regional Council from the Radical Party (2015) and from "Servant of the People" (2020). Wife of MP from "Servant of the People" Anatoliy Hunko.
In 2013, the local council leased 96 hectares of land of the former "Radio Transmission Center" to 48 individuals for "personal farming." Just a few days later, the owners simultaneously re-registered the land to third parties — among them was Natalia's husband, Anatoliy Hunko, who acquired 44 hectares in ownership. In 2015, the court arrested these plots, and Anatoliy was a suspect in the case of destruction of a state enterprise and illegal appropriation of land. In 2019, the suspicion against him was lifted due to lack of evidence — simultaneously he became a parliamentary candidate from "Fatherland."
Dismissed by her own party
On May 8, 2023, the Kyiv Regional Council dismissed Hunko from the position of chairwoman — 67 deputies supported the decision that she "did not justify the trust." The decision was preceded by the regional organization of "Servant of the People" on April 23, 2023 to dismiss her. No criminal proceedings or suspicions from NABU/DBR regarding Natalia Hunko herself were found in open sources.
