People's Deputy of the VIII and IX convocations, independent candidate for electoral district No. 19 in the Volyn region, in the IX convocation — Deputy Chairman of the Committee on State Building, Local Governance, and Urban Development, member of the deputy group "For the Future." Declarations for 2022 and 2023, submitted only at the end of January 2024, recorded nearly one million hryvnias in cash. From his own real estate, the deputy owns only a share of an apartment in Lutsk. Instead, he rents a luxury 2017 Land Rover Discovery Sport valued at 1.08 million UAH from the company "Trans-Volyn," the sole owner of which is Oleksiy Panasiuk — a former assistant to Huz.
Clash with the Rada security and frequent absences from votes
LB.ua recorded an incident in which Huz had a clash with the security service of the Verkhovna Rada. According to the results of 2024, the deputy supported only three out of six key bills; in particular, he was absent during votes on the ratification of the Rome Statute and the law on honest lobbying. During the vote on banning the UOC-MP, his voting card did not work, although Huz publicly urged to support the decision.
