Aviation Designer Who Built a Logistics Empire

Vyacheslav Klymov is one of the most successful Ukrainian entrepreneurs, whose path began not in a business school, but in a design bureau. He was born on March 4, 1975, in Vinnytsia. His father is a Doctor of Philosophical Sciences, and his mother is a programmer and editor. In 1997, he graduated from the Kharkiv Aviation Institute specializing in "Design of Aircraft Engines and Power Plants." From 1998 to 2001, he worked as a design engineer at the Antonov Design Bureau and as a lecturer at the Kyiv branch of KHAI.

$7,000, three offices, and zero orders in the first three weeks

In 2001, together with Popereshnyuk and Inna Popereshnyuk, he founded "Nova Poshta," investing only $7,000 of borrowed money. The first three weeks saw no orders. The very first order was the delivery of an envelope from Kharkiv to Kyiv. The company showed its first profit only six years later, in 2007. Until 2014, Klymov served as the CEO, then transitioned to the Supervisory Board. In 2007, he earned an Executive MBA degree from the International Institute of Business.

Prosecutor General's Office raids during EBRD negotiations

Investigators from the Prosecutor General's Office conducted raids at "Nova Poshta" at a highly "fortunate" time—when the EBRD was considering a loan approval. The company suffered reputational damage with Western partners. Klymov personally met with Lutsenko and resolved the conflict. "The company emerged stronger from that small crisis. It lasted 15 minutes," he said.

Advisor to Poroshenko, UCU Senator, and Business Lobbyist

In 2016, he founded the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs (UUE) and became its president. The same year, Poroshenko included him in the National Reform Council. In 2024, he joined the Entrepreneurship Support Council under Zelensky, became a senator of UCU, and received the Order "For Merit," 3rd class. The Cypriot holding NP Holdings Limited controls 90% of "Nova Poshta"—a standard offshore structure for large Ukrainian businesses.
