"Anti-corruption fighter" with an undeclared Range Rover and the Sheremet case

Koval is a Police General of the 3rd rank, who from 2019 to 2021 served as the First Deputy Head of the National Police and the Chief of Criminal Police. Prior to that, he headed the Internal Security Department, where he "uncovered hundreds of corruption schemes." Twenty-three plots, four houses in the Carpathian resort area, and over 8 hectares of land worth more than 30 million UAH are registered to Koval's father. The plots were acquired in 2015–2017, during which Koval's sister worked as a tax inspector in the same district. After dismissal, Koval received 830,000 UAH in "severance pay" and soon returned to the National Police as an advisor — retaining access to the structure without public accountability.
