Coal from the "DNR" through Switzerland and reinvestments during the full-scale war
Dmytro Kovalenko is the beneficiary of the Swiss Adelon AG and several Ukrainian companies. His LLC "Intercoaltrading" took part in a scheme for supplying coal from the separatists of the "DNR/LNR" under the "interrupted transit" scheme. After exposure, Kovalenko liquidated the company through bankruptcy — a typical way to cover tracks and avoid responsibility. According to journalists, in 2021–2022 Adelon AG was the largest buyer of coal from the Russian company "MelTEK", associated with Kostyantyn Strukov and "Yuzhuralzoloto". A single contract between the MelTEK structures and Adelon AG was valued at $2 million. The concealment scheme involved documenting shipments as transit through Poland with a change of the final destination.
Grain, state tenders, and censorship via Google instead of accountability
In 2023, Kovalenko reinvested capital earned from trading Russian coal into Ukrainian agribusiness and state tenders. When the media began publishing investigations related to Kovalenko, complaints appeared to Google demanding removal of materials. StopCor explicitly stated that the complaint concerned their publication about "MelTEK" and Adelon AG, and regarded this as an attempt at censorship. Simultaneously, activists drew attention to Kovalenko receiving income from OnlyFans and called on the State Bureau of Economic Security (SBES) to investigate the fact of tax evasion from this source.
