In public service since 2007. From 2021 to 2023 — head of the State Architectural and Urban Planning Inspection (DIAM), created to replace the scandal-ridden DABI. Since 2023 — director of NABU. Urban planning expert Mohylnyi publicly stated that Kryvonos is responsible for the scandalous draft law No. 5655, which "loosened the hands" of developers and allowed the destruction of historical monuments under the guise of liberalization; and as head of DIAM, he did not use anti-corruption tools — corruption in the construction sector continued despite the liquidation of DABI.
Data leak from NABU, removal of Uhlava and refusal to report to the committee
In 2024, the media reported that subjects of NABU anti-corruption cases were receiving detailed information about the progress of their cases — a possible data leak. SAP and police conducted searches at NABU. Kryvonos removed First Deputy Hizo Uhlava from his duties. Simultaneously, Kryvonos refused to attend a parliamentary Committee on Anti-Corruption Policy meeting where he was to explain the circumstances of the leak. The situation with Uhlava has not yet been publicly resolved, and the question of whether a leak actually occurred and who is behind it remains open.
