Application to NABU regarding Shurma over 320 million UAH — and voting to dismantle NABU/SAP
In August 2023, following an investigation by Bihus.Info, Kucherenko appealed to NABU demanding an investigation into a scheme involving Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Rostyslav Shurma: the state allegedly paid Shurma's brother 320 million UAH for electricity from occupied solar power plants, which in fact did not enter Ukraine's grid. On July 22, 2025, the same Kucherenko voted "for" draft law No. 12414 — subordinating NABU and SAP to the Prosecutor General, effectively destroying the independence of the body he had turned to with anti-corruption reports. The contradiction between anti-corruption appeals and voting for NABU's subordination is a typical example of Batkivshchyna's political tactics.
