Trusted person of Zelensky who headed the Ministry of Justice precisely when anti-corruption efforts were shaken

Born in 1983 in Kryvyi Rih. Lawyer, former judge of the Dniprodzerzhynsk District Court, attorney and arbitration manager, managing partner of a law firm. In 2019 — Zelensky’s trusted representative in an electoral district in Dnipro, later a People’s Deputy from "Servant of the People" and chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legal Policy (judicial reform). On July 16, 2026, the Rada appointed him Minister of Justice in Koretsky's government — replacing Liudmyla Suhak, who acted in the role after the resignation of Halushchenko due to the "Midas" case.

No personal compromising evidence — but there are two telling votes

There are no suspicions, property scandals, or Russian Federation links against Maslov — he is a career loyalist lawyer. However, his decisions in the Rada speak for themselves. On July 22, 2025, he voted "for" the infamous law 12414, which subordinated NABU and SAP to the Prosecutor General and effectively removed the independence of anti-corruption bodies. And at the end of 2022 — "for" the urban planning reform No. 5655, criticized as a gift to developers. Now he is responsible for justice — following a crisis he partially voted for himself.
