400 victims and 9 million euros through call centers in Bulgaria and Serbia
From 2018 to 2020, fraudulent call centers in Sofia and Belgrade persuaded EU citizens to invest through fake websites in financial instruments that did not exist. When victims wanted to withdraw their money, they were additionally charged a 15% commission — after which the accounts were blocked. The documented damage amounted to 9 million euros, with about 400 victims reporting to the police.
10.8 million euros through Rokhlin's British company
According to the investigation by the Bamberg prosecutor's office, 10.8 million euros of income from fraudulent activities passed through the British company RIJV Holdings Ltd controlled by Timur Rokhlin. In total, 35.9 million euros were received in the accounts of the related Remini Consulting LP. Property of Rokhlin's father was seized — a non-residential building of 853 m² and six premises totaling 4,214 m² in Kyiv.
Arrest in Israel and Rolls-Royce as physical evidence
In December 2021, Israeli law enforcement detained Rokhlin for possible extradition to Germany. Among the seized assets is a luxury car fleet, highlighted by a Rolls-Royce Wraith worth about 500,000 dollars, mentioned in the investigation materials. Investigators suspect that the property was purchased with funds obtained through criminal means.
Lawsuits against journalists instead of retractions
After the investigations were published in dev.ua and NV, the Rokhlins filed lawsuits in the Pechersky District Court against the publications and journalists. The startup Rocket demanded the removal of brand mentions from the materials. Lawyers assured that all client funds were legal. The investment fund BeeVentures effectively ceased operations after the seizure.
