A lawyer from Novoukrainka in Kirovohrad region (born 1985), graduate of Kharkiv University of Internal Affairs. Started his career as an inquirer and investigator in Kirovohrad; after adjuncture — in the central apparatus of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Since September 2019 — Deputy Head of the National Police and Head of the Main Investigation Department; since September 2023 — First Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine. In July 2022, Zelensky awarded him the rank of Police General of the third rank — one of the youngest generals in the country. Doctor of Legal Sciences, professor at the Academy of Internal Affairs, honored lawyer, author of more than 90 scientific works on criminal procedure and pre-trial investigation; master of sports in combat sambo.

Mother-in-law's apartments

Declaration 2022: salary from the National Police — 1.7 million UAH, teaching — 61.8 thousand; no own valuable property or cars, only a land plot in Kyiv region. The general’s family lives in a 144.7 m² apartment in Kyiv belonging to mother-in-law Lyudmyla Zaluzhna. Media reported that she actively purchased real estate in the center of Kyiv for about 5 million UAH, having no own business or income; received the apartment in the "Aristokrat" residential complex with a 30% discount. She refused to comment to journalists.
