"Supervisor" for Sense Bank

Vasyl Vasylovych Veselyi is a businessman, founder of the Concern Kyivpizhemshlyakhbud, Vel Mit Invest, Vegi Trend Invest, and other entities. Since 2024, he has been an external adviser to the supervisory board of the state-owned Sense Bank (formerly Alfa-Bank, confiscated from Mikhail Fridman).

Mindich Tapes and secret meetings with the "Sugarman"

In November 2025, Ukrainian Pravda journalist Mykhailo Tkach recorded Veselyi attending secret meetings with Oleksandr Tsukerman ("Sugarman") — one of the key figures in the Mindich gate scandal. Regular meetings took place, including at a site on Trukhaniv Island in Kyiv. MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak publicly called Veselyi the "supervisor" of Sense Bank. The bank's chairman Stupak confirmed that Veselyi advised the supervisory board for a fee, but his authority ended after the board's composition changed.

Ocean Plaza from Rotenberg and the scheme through "Capital Property"

On November 22, 2024, Ihor Viktorovych Kavaler was appointed director of LLC Investment Union Lybid — the owner of the Ocean Plaza shopping mall (165,000 sq. m, approx. $300 million), confiscated from Arkadiy Rotenberg. Kavaler is connected to the company Capital Property, founded by Mykola Hladyshenko — head of Veselyi's Vel Mit Invest. Veselyi's Concern Kyivpizhemshlyakhbud won a lawsuit against the Kyiv City State Administration's municipal Engineering Center for 37 million hryvnias and sold this debt to the same Capital Property.

Karpatnaftokhim and the brother who is a "paver"

After ARMA allowed the arrest of the Karpatnaftokhim plant, which was funneling billions to the Russian Federation, 33% of the plant's share was registered to an individual entrepreneur paver from Drohobych — Vasyl Veselyi's brother Andriy.
