Losses of 413.2 million UAH and director's salary of 2 million UAH

Ukrposhta is a state postal enterprise covering almost 12,000 branches and providing delivery services nationwide. By the end of 2024, the company recorded a net loss of 413.2 million UAH — after losses of 796 million UAH in 2023 and 1.26 billion UAH in 2022. Against this background, CEO Ihor Smilianskyi receives a salary of up to 2 million UAH per month — more than the combined salaries of 15 combat officers at the front line.

“Charitable” contribution of 50 million UAH without reporting

When paying for parcel delivery, Ukrposhta automatically charges a “charitable contribution” — refusing it is impossible. According to estimates, this scheme brings the Milovanov charitable fund at least 50 million UAH annually. There is no reporting on the use of these funds. The police have opened an investigation, and MP Honcharenko has declared potential fraud. Smilianskyi responded with public insults and a toilet brush shown on camera.

Box supplier with a Russian passport and ties to Medvedchuk

The owner of the Trypilske Packaging Plant — a supplier of cardboard boxes for Ukrposhta — Hennadiy Minin may be involved in creating clone companies in the occupied territories of Donbas. After the invasion began, his businesses were re-registered under Russian law. In a leak of Russian bank client data, Minin's investments in the sanctioned "Sberbank" were recorded — from 2021 to 2024. Prosecutor General Kravchenko announced suspicion charges. Smilianskyi and Ukrposhta declined to comment.
