European Solidarity

"European Solidarity" is a Ukrainian political party of center-right and conservative orientation, tracing its history back to 2000. It has been led for a long time by Petro Poroshenko. From 2014 to 2019, the party operated under the name "Petro Poroshenko Bloc Solidarity" before being renamed "European Solidarity." The political force has a widespread network of branches throughout Ukraine, except for temporarily occupied regions.

The party played a key role in state governance following the Revolution of Dignity, forming a parliamentary majority and influencing government processes. At the same time, its activities were accompanied by a number of high-profile corruption scandals involving certain members. These included cases related to bribery, embezzlement of state funds, and participation in financial schemes at state enterprises. Some implicated figures lost their parliamentary mandates or were expelled from the faction.

Certain investigations also concerned business assets and financial operations, including offshore structures, which caused public resonance. Over the years, journalists reported on the possible involvement of party representatives in schemes within the defense sector, energy, and public procurement.

Despite the departure of some politicians linked to scandals, new party representatives also became subjects of anti-corruption investigations. In some cases, criminal proceedings were initiated or suspicions announced related to undeclared assets or fraud.

Despite criticism, "European Solidarity" remains one of the influential political forces in Ukraine, maintaining electoral support and active participation in parliamentary activities.
