Supreme Court

The Supreme Court is the highest judicial body within the system of justice in Ukraine, ensuring the uniform and proper application of legislative norms by courts of all instances. The Court’s activity is aimed at protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens, the interests of the state, legal entities, and ensuring the principle of the rule of law. The Supreme Court administers justice in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine, international treaties, and current legislation, guaranteeing a fair and impartial consideration of judicial cases.

The powers of the Supreme Court include the consideration of cassation appeals, analysis of judicial practice, formulation of legal conclusions, and ensuring the unity of the judicial system. The Court's structure includes cassation administrative, commercial, criminal, and civil courts, which consider cases of the respective categories. The Court also summarizes the practice of law application and contributes to the improvement of Ukraine's legal system.

In modern conditions, the Supreme Court plays an important role in strengthening democratic principles, developing independent judiciary, and increasing citizens’ trust in the judicial authority.
