Manipulations during gas procurement for Ukrzaliznytsia

The most high-profile scandal involving the politician is the investigation by NABU and SAP into manipulations during gas procurement for Ukrzaliznytsia in 2016–2020. According to the investigation, companies controlled by Bielashov supplied fuel at artificially inflated prices, causing the state losses exceeding 206 million hryvnias. In 2023, the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) placed him in custody, but the businessman was released on bail of 30 million UAH. The judicial trial on the merits is ongoing. Additionally, in September 2026, his company Ukrcapital became involved in a new scandal by attempting to acquire management of assets of the "Morshynska" producer for an abnormally low fee of 0.01%, leading the ARMA commission to reject the proposal.
